NAI NAI'S RECIPE
My name is Trenton Stewart and I recently graduated from SCAD this past June. For my last senior project, I was lucky enough to be on a great team of animators for the SCAD Capstone. This short film, directed by Daya Lee, and produced by Kaylee Ruiz, is currently on the film circuit, and I couldn't be prouder to have been part of this remarkable team. Collaborating on this short solidified my love for all things animation from storyboarding, adding effects and cutting the trailer. Absolutely loved this whole process and I hope I can continue on this journey.
Set in 2010s Hong Kong, 10-year-old Sho helps his grandmother run their family’s bustling dumpling shop. As Nai Nai struggles to keep up with the demands of the restaurant, Sho, typically lost in his own imagination, steps up after a particularly challenging day. This heartfelt 2D animated film weaves a sincere and youthful story.
